TRC20 vs ERC20: Choosing a USDT Network

Quick Summary

  • TRC20 and ERC20 are two networks that both carry USDT (Tether).
  • The network you send on must match the network of the receiving address.
  • TRC20 transfers are usually cheaper; ERC20 fees rise and fall with demand.
  • OKZZ showed a USDT logo when we checked; the cashier shows which networks it accepts.

USDT, also called Tether, is a digital token designed to track the US dollar. It exists on several blockchains at once, and the two names you will see most often are TRC20 and ERC20. They carry the same token but work on different networks, with different addresses and fees. Picking the wrong one is one of the most common reasons a crypto deposit goes missing. This article explains the difference in plain terms. OKZZ showed a USDT (Tether) logo on its banners when we checked.

What are TRC20 and ERC20?

They are token standards, which is a technical way of saying they are the rules a token follows on a particular blockchain. TRC20 is the standard on the Tron network. ERC20 is the standard on the Ethereum network.

USDT on Tron and USDT on Ethereum have the same value, but they live on separate networks. A transfer on one network cannot arrive on the other. Think of them as two different courier companies: both deliver the same parcel, but you must use the courier the receiver is waiting for.

How do the two networks compare?

This is a general comparison. Exact fees change, so check your wallet before sending.

Why must the network match?

When a cashier shows a USDT deposit address, it is created for one specific network. If you send USDT on a different network, the coins usually do not reach the account. Recovering them, if it is possible at all, can be slow and may need help from the receiving platform.

Tip: before every transfer, read the network label next to the deposit address and select the same one in your wallet. Do not rely on memory from last time.

Which one should I use for a casino deposit?

Use the one the cashier lists. If the OKZZ cashier offers USDT on more than one network, many people pick TRC20 for lower fees, but ERC20 is fine if that is what your wallet or exchange supports. Fees are the main practical difference.

We could not confirm which USDT networks OKZZ accepts, any minimum deposit or how quickly crypto deposits are credited. Those details are in the cashier. Our deposit guide explains the cashier in general, and USDT network fees covers what you pay to send.

What other mistakes should I avoid?

A few habits prevent most problems.

  • 1. Copy and paste the address; never type it by hand.
  • 2. Check the first and last few characters after pasting, in case malware changed the address.
  • 3. Send a small test amount first if you have not used the address before.
  • 4. Keep the transaction hash from your wallet, so support can trace the transfer.
  • 5. Make sure you have enough TRX or ETH for the fee, or the transfer may fail.

Three steps

How to send USDT on the right network in 3 steps

  1. 1
    Read the cashier label

In the OKZZ cashier, choose USDT and note the network shown next to the deposit address.

  2. 2
    Match it in your wallet

Select the same network in your wallet or exchange, then paste the address and check its first and last characters.

  3. 3
    Send and save the hash

Send the amount, wait for confirmations and keep the transaction hash in case you need to contact support.

Frequently asked

Is TRC20 or ERC20 better?

Neither is better in every case. TRC20 is usually cheaper to send, which suits smaller transfers. ERC20 has very wide wallet support but fees can climb when the Ethereum network is busy. Use whichever network the cashier accepts and your wallet supports.

What happens if I send ERC20 to a TRC20 address?

The transfer usually does not arrive in the casino account, because the address belongs to a different network. Contact the receiving platform's support quickly with the transaction hash, but recovery is not certain.

Does OKZZ accept USDT on TRC20?

We saw a USDT (Tether) logo on OKZZ banners in November 2026, but we could not confirm which networks are accepted. Open the cashier and select USDT to see the network label on the deposit address.

Why do I need TRX or ETH to send USDT?

Each network charges its fee in its own coin. TRC20 transfers use TRX resources, and ERC20 transfers pay gas in ETH. Without enough of that coin, your wallet cannot send the USDT.

Is USDT always worth exactly one dollar?

It is designed to stay close to one US dollar, but small variations can happen. When you convert to or from Taka, the exchange or seller's rate also affects what you get.
